Toronto housing sales break records in March

April 7th, 2016  |  Canadian Business

2015 was a record year for housing in Toronto with the average price of detached homes passing the $1 million mark and holding steady throughout the year. The high prices haven’t slowed the market down at all though as sales are once again breaking the record set the year before.

According to the Financial Post, the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) report says that the number of sales in March increased by 16.2% from 2015. Sales went up 15.8% over the 1st quarter. Overall prices went up by 12.1% compared to the previous year.

The market’s continued growth has TREB convinced that the city will break the records set last year.
