Following reports from around the world of Pokémon Go users getting injured while playing the popular game, Russia’s biggest bank, Sberbank Life Insurance, announced this week that it will begin offering free insurance to Pokémon Go players in Russia. The bank says it will offer clients up to 50,000 rubles (about $800 USD) in coverage, which can be used to cover players in the event of injury while playing the game.

The amount of compensation will depend on the severity of injury, and the insurance cards will be given out for free, according to this article from RT.com. In order to be eligible for the insurance, Pokémon Go users will need to visit the bank’s special landing page and fill in their game nickname, real name, date of birth, location, and email.

In addition to offering free insurance, the bank also plans to install special PokéStop modules at their branches that lure both Pokémon and players. These modules will be available for in-play transactions for 100 Pokécoins, and will be active during business hours. The bank says these PokéStops will be installed in branches across 16 cities across the country.

The bank’s CEO, Maksim Chernin, adds that “It is also important for us that the project will improve financial literacy, as the younger generation will be able to learn about insurance instruments while playing the game.”
