RSA Canada shares tips for Fort McMurray residents

As one of the biggest and hottest fires of Canada’s history has passed through Fort McMurray, the 85,000 evacuated residents will soon return to their homes to take stock of what’s left.

For the majority of the residents this will be the first time they’ve seen their community since they’ve been evacuated. The process of re-entering and recovering after a disaster can be emotional and stressful. It’s important that residents are fully aware of what they need to do to make a quick and easy home insurance claim.

RSA Canada released tips for the evacuees who will be going home between June 1 and June 15. The Canadian Red Cross, which has been instrumental in the aid effort for the disaster

In Alberta, the fire still burns in the wilderness. Luckily there are currently no communities in its path.
