September 17th, 2015  |  Canadian Business

The newly released Bentley Bentayga, the latest to the luxury SUV market, is enjoying an esteemed first sale to none other than Queen Elizabeth, reigning royal of the United Kingdom.

In an interview with Bloomberg at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Bentley Americas CEO Michael Winkler, said the Queen will take possession of the first Bentayga available to buyers.

According to Winkler, the Queen test drove the Bentley a few weeks ago and stated that she would be using the vehicle for hunting trips on her Scottish property.

The Bentayga starts US $229,000 and the entire year of 2016’s production has already been sold out. The Bentley will be available for general sale in 2017.

As one of the most expensive cars on the market to cover, the British automaker’s newest Bentley will be on par with Aston Martin and Rolls-Royce pricing for insurance premiums.
