Lego-Porsche Hybrid is a Hit at California Raceway

September 27th, 2015  |  Canadian Business

Over 300 Porsches were present at California’s Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca this weekend for the Rennsport Reunion V but only one was made from Lego.

Porsche presented cars that ran Indy Car races, won the 24 hours of Le Mans, and conquered Africa’s off-road event but they didn’t stop there. The spotlight was on their one-of-a-kind Porsche 911 RSR hybrid built with over 380,000 bricks of Lego.

There was some stiff competition but the Lego Porsche was arguably the coolest car spotted at the Rennsport Reunion V, the square blocks recreating the curvy lines and unique logo designs with near flawlessness.

First featured at a race event earlier this summer, it took 28 days to complete and has been meticulously put together down to the smallest detail, including the Adidas decal on the rear spoiler.
