Calgary Snowfall Causes Treacherous Road Conditions

November 24th, 2015  |  Auto

After a heavy snow fall Monday night, Calgary drivers can expect icy roads and low visibility in most parts of the city today.

Calgary Police have reported responding to 75 collisions between midnight and noon compared to last Tuesday’s 34 fender benders in the same time period.

Some sections of the Trans-Canada and QEII highways were reported to be in poor shape and heavy snowfall warnings are still in effect for certain parts of central and southern Alberta.

"Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow," Environment Canada's website says.
