How To Use Your Time When Waiting For Your Car To Be Serviced

April 25th, 2013  |  Insurance

Getting your car serviced is just part of being a responsible driver. You need to take your car in for regular maintenance to ensure that it is properly taken care of and is performing as efficiently as possible.

But, what do you do when you are waiting for your car to be serviced?

While most people don’t give it a second thought and simply wait in the waiting room while their car is being serviced, others make effective use of that time. There are many things that you can do when you are waiting for your car. Why waste the time when you could be getting other things done?

The important thing to do is plan ahead so you can make good use of the time. Here are some effective ways to kill time when waiting for your car:

  • Bring a book and catch up on your reading
  • Find out if the dealership has free Wi-Fi and bring your laptop with you to get some work done
  • Go to a local coffee shop and enjoy your favorite beverage
  • Head over to a local restaurant and meet a friend or family member for breakfast or lunch
  • Run some errands
  • Go shopping
  • Go for a walk and get some exercise – you could also go to the gym if it is close by

The trick is to find out what stores, restaurants, and attractions are located in close proximity to your dealership so you can plan your time wisely.

What do you do to pass the time while you are waiting for your car to be serviced? Do you wait around or do you make good use of the time?
