  • Resorts are considered safer and more predicable
  • There are lots of travel options and packages to choose from that match your lifestyle and preferences
  • You can leave the resort if you want and experience local culture
  • Lots of entertainment and activities are available within the resort
  • Resorts offer convenience and a relaxing environment
  • Ideal for a diverse travel audience including solo travelers, couples, and families

  • Food options may be limited
  • You may feel like you are stuck at the resort
  • Everything is not always included 
  • You may feel like you are missing out on the authentic experience
  • If the resort is not what you expected, there is not much you can do about it for the length of your stay
  • You may feel obligated or pressured into tipping
