3 Vehicle Options for your Summer Road Trip

May 18th, 2013  |  Insurance

We are at that time of the year where people start to solidify their vacation schedule and start to plan their summer road trip. While most people are busy thinking about where they want to go for their road trip, another important thing that they need to factor in is which vehicle they are going to use for their trip. Depending on how long of a trip you are taking and how many people are going on the trip, your vehicle choice may vary.

Here are your vehicle options for your summer road trip:

  1. Your own car: This is obviously the first choice for most people, but if you have a small car you may have space issues, especially if you are travelling a long way.
  2. A rental car: Many people opt for a rental car for their road trip for a number of reasons. For one, it’s the only option if you don’t currently own a car, but others use a rental car because they either need a larger vehicle or don’t want to put a large number of kilometres on their own vehicle. So also use this option to rent a luxury car for their trip. There is nothing like a convertible out on the open road.
  3. RV: If you are taking a road trip with the whole family, then an RV is a good option. This way you can travel with a larger group and all in one vehicle. Plus, it can double as accommodations during your trip.

What vehicle option do you prefer for your road trip?
